Hi, I’m Angela, a recruitment advocate with 30 years’ experience that’s still passionate about our wonderful industry. I’ve been training for 32 years and coaching executives for 17 of those. I worked for Blue Arrow (the largest independent recruitment company in the UK at the time) and was lucky enough to join their award winning training team. Since 2003, I’ve had my own company – Connemara UK.
My aim is to make companies more successful and profitable through the development of their people and processes. My passion is to travel, so I’ve worked with over 150 SMEs, throughout the world in 16 different countries so far. APac is my current focus.

Improving billing managers performance
Billing managers have the hardest job in recruitment. I help directors and billing managers build a leadership mindset, giving them the ability to better coach their teams and drive the performance of the individuals that they are responsible for, as well as billing themselves.
Senior recruitment consultant’s advancement
A recruiter becomes a victim of their own success at around the 18 month – 2 year stage. They are now very good at what they do and they are gaining new clients, without losing the old ones… but there’s only so many hours in the day. I help recruiters become smarter at the role they love, so they can be more successful without having to work more.
Onboarding new starters
Writing an induction programme that allows new starters to be successful very quickly, is key to addressing the high attrition rate issues that we have in the recruitment industry. I help companies to engage their new employees from the initial recruitment process through to offer and start date – establishing the objectives, assessments and standards required for the first 6 months of a recruiter’s life and creating a detailed schedule to implement everything.
