A recruitment advocate with 30+ years’ experience that’s still passionate about our wonderful industry. I’ve been training for 34 years and coaching executives for 18 of those – anything that raises standards – I’m in!. I’m also the Managing Director and owner here at the Gym.

A talent sourcer with 15 yrs exp. combing the web finding great candidates. I work as a researcher and a trainer and am passionate about helping businesses have more conversations with interesting & interested people. Social media and especially LinkedIn, are critical to my role.

I would describe myself as an experienced, passionate trainer who has been training people in the recruitment industry since 1997 from new starters through to business owners. Over 9,000 people have benefited from my training with a true international reach and exposure to a wide variety of market specialisations and levels of recruitment.

My uniqueness is that over the years I have worked in payroll, purchase ledger, credit control, management accounts and IT so understands the end to end processes much better than others. I’ve been there, done it and got the t-shirt.
I help recruiters to improve their prices and negotiation by using successful models from other industries. I’ve been in recruitment for over 15 years, including four years as Head of Pricing at Reed Recruitment.
People rarely value what they do, so I enjoy helping them understand what clients are willing to pay for and getting a fair price for the work they do.
When asked, I say I’m in Digital Marketing. That used to get the question “So you sit on Facebook all day?” Thankfully, times have changed as business owners have become more and more aware of the importance of marketing their brands online.
The truth is I currently spend a considerable amount of time coaching on a 1:1 basis. In these sessions, I offer my knowledge and experience in developing and implementing online strategies on an ongoing basis.
How we work with our Coaches:
Our vision is to bring together the best independent coaches, trainers and consultants in the industry.
All our coaches run their own independent businesses, but recognise the benefits of collaborating with like-minded coaches who work in complementary disciplines or different geographies.
The Recruiting Gym acts as a platform for coaches to run their own online courses or mastermind groups.
Coaches may run live webinars and contribute content and comment to the community. Recruiting Gym may promote and processes payments for a Coach’s course and group but this in no way affects the individual identity of the Coach’s business.
All Coaches are carefully selected based on their capability and cultural fit with the Recruiting Gym’s ethos.
